Karim Benzema’s double and Real Madrid beat Cadiz 3-0

Madrid secured a lead in the first half itself sealing a win with three goals in 10 minutes that saw them off to a 3-0 finish against Cadiz. Madrid now claims its place at the top of the table beating their rivals Atletico. Both are head to head on points currently but Atletico has a chance to claim the position once again when they meet Huesca.

Karim Benzema starred for the night by scoring twice for the team and later set up Alvaro Odriozola as well in Ramon de Carranza stadium to saw off Cadiz 13th on the table. Cadiz is 9 points clear of the relegation zone and avoided being relegated this season with a decent performance after they fought tooth and nail to play in the top-flight tournament for the first time in 15 years.
