Khedira is pissed over losing against England

Granted, given his past with Real Madrid, Sami Khedira developed a bad habit of being a sore loser. Their latest defeat in Berlin against the English, saw the Germans not being able to maintain a 2-0 advantage and completely send to waste an effort that lasted just over one hour and let the result go in the last half hour of the match against England. It's not to say the English didn't play their match because they did.

But looking at the whole 90 minutes of the game, losing the match like that when you practically had the result bagged and ready to go, can understandably end up in frustration like Sami Khedira showed after the game. Both him and striker Mario Gomez, who constructed Germany's second goal beautifully, were utterly disappointed after the game and expressed it with some rough words against their teammates.

“It was an unnecessary, stupid defeat. We all need to take a look at ourselves and work hard now. We did a lot right up until the second goal, then after that we were much worse - and England punished us. However, we played well for an hour. We need to play well for 90 minutes against Italy (in tomorrow’s friendly) and in the European Championship.”

Mario Gomez said: ”It is somewhat inexcusable. We were playing very well until we were 2-0 up but we didn’t use enough of our chances. Afterwards, we stood off our opponents too much and England are very strong from set-pieces.”
