Leao and Nkunku Set for Bench Roles Against Napoli

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Rafael Leao will be available to Massimiliano Allegri for the clash against the reigning champions after more than a month on the sidelines. While the Portuguese winger is not yet fully fit and won’t start, he could still prove decisive from the bench. Christopher Nkunku, who netted his first Milan goal in Tuesday’s cup victory, is also expected to begin on the sidelines, as he continues building toward full match sharpness.

Both Leao and Nkunku are planned as future starters, but for now they will be eased in. Dropping Christian Pulisic would be a bold call, meaning Milan could eventually find a way to fit all three attackers together. In that case, Santiago Gimenez might lose his place, though his goal against Lecce raised hopes he can establish himself as a consistent scorer.
