Leverkusen star planning move to top European club, reveals agent

Piero Hincapié could be the next high-profile departure from Bayer Leverkusen, following in the footsteps of Xabi Alonso, Jonathan Tah, and Jeremie Frimpong.

The Ecuadorian defender’s agent, Manuel Ramón Sierra Camacho, has confirmed that his client is eager to take the next step in his career.

“The idea is for him to leave this summer, if there’s a chance to play for one of the top ten teams in the world - or even one of the top seven,” he told Diario Olé. “We’ve spoken a lot with Leverkusen, and that’s the plan.”

Speculation has swirled around the possibility of Hincapié following Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, where the Spaniard is widely expected to be named as new head coach. Camacho made it clear he would welcome such a move.
