Before the summer transfer window ends, Liverpool is allegedly hoping to sign Giovanni Leoni, an 18-year-old Italian defender from Serie A team Parma. Orazio Accomando, a well-known Italian journalist, reported that Liverpool is currently attempting to outbid Tottenham for Giovanni Leoni's services. The Reds are working harder to sign the 18-year-old sensation.
One of Serie A's best young defenders, Leoni might prove to be a wise long-term addition for Liverpool. In addition to his defensive prowess, he excels at having the ball at his feet and would fit well in with Liverpool's style of play.
