Liverpool put on a show for their fans at Anfield

The defending champions struck again as they reduced Wolverhampton Wanderers to a 4-0 defeat on Sunday as Juergen Klopp’s side makes a comeback after strings of injury. This was Red's first match in front of fans at Anfield and their enthusiasm was flying off the handle as they showed their dominant side by crushing Wolves to a humiliating loss.

Goals from Mohamed Salah, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Joel Matip had already put Liverpool ahead and Nelson Semedo’s own goal at the last moment added more misery to their pain. Reds are now breathing down Tottenham’s neck with 24 points on second place on the basis of goal difference. In the other Premier League matches, Jamie Vardy scored a last-minute winning goal to give Leicester City a 2-1 win over Sheffield United, and Crystal Palace crushed West Bromwich Albion in a 5-1 rout to move to 11th place.
