Arne Slot’s Liverpool made a flying start last season by winning the title, but this term they have twice squandered two-goal leads. New arrival Hugo Ekitike has impressed early on, with Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz also featuring regularly. However, one player could be on his way out. According to Fabrizio Romano, Kostas Tsimikas is pushing for a move to Roma, with talks progressing over a loan deal.
The 29-year-old left-back, who joined Liverpool from Olympiakos in 2020, has made 115 appearances in all competitions but has often been a squad player. Last season he featured 29 times, including 18 in the Premier League. Tsimikas has reportedly agreed personal terms with Roma, who are expected to cover his wages as part of a season-long loan. An agreement between the clubs is said to be close.
