Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Etihad to finally snap their seven-game losing streak. As a consequence, City moved up to fourth place in the league, while Forest stays in sixth place, ending Pep Guardiola's historic winless streak. Although they weren't playing at their best, City took the lead early on when Kevin De Bruyne, who was back, headed across goal to set up Bernardo Silva for an easy tap-in before ten minutes.
Chris Wood had a great chance to tie the score after catching a loose City back ball, but he missed it. Josko Gvardiol subsequently missed two guilt edge opportunities to double City's lead. Half an hour, Guardiola's team had a two-goal lead to ease much of the stress in the Etihad when De Bruyne made Wood's carelessness pay with a usually accurate effort from inside the 18-yard box.
