Manchester City is again at the top

After defeating Fulham 4-0 on Saturday, reigning champions Manchester City are once again atop the English Premier League standings. At Craven Cottage, Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol scored twice in the 13th and 71st minutes to give Manchester a fighting chance.

English midfielder Phil Foden of the Sky Blues added another goal in the 59th minute, and Argentine striker Julian Alvarez completed the scoring late in the 96th minute with a penalty kick. With two weeks remaining in the schedule, Man City leads the standings with 85 points, followed by Arsenal, who haven't won the Premier League since the 2003–04 campaign, with 83 points. The Gunners play Manchester United on Sunday, while Manchester City plays Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday, in the ongoing fierce battle for the championship. The last week of the season will see the Sky Blues take on West Ham United and Arsenal play Everton.
