Manchester United is stunned by Fulham's stoppage-time winner

Manchester United, who suffered their first league defeat in six games, now sits sixth in the standings with 44 points, eight points behind Aston Villa in fourth. With 32 points, Fulham is ranked 12th. Calvin Bassey gave Fulham the lead in the 65th minute by launching his own rebound into the top of the net for the team's first goal. After the ball went off goalkeeper Bernd Leno, United defender Harry Maguire equalized in the 89th minute with a half-volley from inside the penalty area, and the home club appeared ready to rescue at least a point.

But in the 97th minute, after a counterattack, Alex Iwobi, who had previously wasted two excellent chances, swept a shot past Andre Onana into the bottom corner, leaving the home crowd stunned. Making it Fulham's first away Premier League victory in twelve games. This season, United has lost more league games than they did in the whole 2022–2023 campaign—ten.
