Thus far, Manchester United are the only side to have expressed an interest in the Dutch international, but the Premier League outfit are yet to reach an agreement with Der Rekordmeister. It is understood that should the two clubs agree on a fee for de Ligt’s signature, then personal terms would not be an issue.
However, United are not willing to match Bayern’s valuation of the defender.
Speaking to Sky Germany at Bayern’s training camp in Seoul, South Korea, Director of Sport Max Eberl explained that he will wait to comment on why the club have placed de Ligt on the transfer list.
“I will comment on that when the time comes. It’s not that time yet. Matthijs played very well here for two years, and that’s why many fans like him. He is still a player for FC Bayern.”
