Moenchengladbach sits on fourth place after defeating Dortmund 4-2

Moenchengladbach finally put an end to their six-year losing streak against Borussia Dortmund with a 4-2 win to climb fourth on the Bundesliga Table. Defender Nico Elvedi’s double paved the way for victory for Moenchengladbach at home, Dortmund’s two-goal was scored by striker Erling Braut Haaland but a team effort by Moenchengladbach led by Elvedi could not help them continue their winning streak. Left-back Ramy Bensebaini helped them clinch the lead in the second half while substitute Marcus Thuram made the count four later.

Dortmund on the other hand lost the last three of their matches, this is the same team that routed RB Leipzig in early January by 3-1. They are now fifth on the table and out of Champions League’s places.
