The transfer of Martin Zubimendi, midfielder of Real Sociedad, to English club Arsenal is nearing an official announcement, according to the Spanish newspaper "AS".
The newspaper indicated that an agreement between the player and the English club has already been reached, and the announcement of the deal is expected to be made during the upcoming week, for a value exceeding 60 million euros.
Zubimendi, who grew up in the Real Sociedad academy, will bid farewell to the club before coach Sergio Francisco begins his first training sessions.
The newspaper also confirmed that there are other players likely to leave in the upcoming period, alongside the uncertainty surrounding the future of some players like Kubo.
Meanwhile, Real Sociedad is close to acquiring Brazilian defender Igor Julio from Brighton, as an agreement has been reached with the player, and a final agreement between the two clubs is still pending.
