Official: Lopetegui can't resist a heavy defeat and is fired from Sevilla

On Wednesday, Sevilla announced the departure of Julen Lopetegui from the team's technical command. The Spanish coach could not resist the team's negative start to the season, which worsened on Wednesday night.
Sevilla were defeated at home on matchday three of the Champions League group stage. The Andalusians lost 4-1 to Borussia Dortmund, the second defeat in three games in the European competition, the sixth in 10 games of the season.
Lopetegui has won just one game this season. The numbers, far below expectations after the quality season that Sevilla had in 2021/22, in which they fought hard for the La Liga title, ended up weighing in the decision.
