The top player on the short list of City players with one year left on their contracts at King Power Stadium is Jamie Vardy, a striker who will turn 38 before his term expires.
Vardy signed a new one-year contract with the team this summer, although it wasn't until three weeks before his contract was set to expire and a month after the Championship season concluded. Next year, the circumstances may be the same as well. This may be Danny Ward's final season as a City player. He is now in his eighth. It seems obvious that Daniel Iversen will be a free agent come summertime. The Seagulls indicate that they believe the loanee Facundo Buonanotte will remain with the team. It seems like a huge bid would be necessary to get them to reverse their position. Odsonne Edouard, the striker, must persuade City if they plan to spend a lot of money on him the following summer, during the campaign.
