Ghana center-back Rashid Sumaila has officially sealed a six-month loan deal with Serbian Club Red Star Belgrade.
Red Star Belgrade announced the capture of the 25-year-old who becomes the Clubs fourth signing ahead of the season.
Sumaila penned a short-term deal with the Club after undergoing all the needed formalities.
His contract is subjected to renewal according to a statement by the Club.
The former Ghana U23 defender expressed his delight after completing his deal to the Super Lig side.
“I’m delighted to be here at Crvena Zvezda. I’m here to help the team and hopefully improve as a player. This is a big club with rich history.
“The team has had a great season in the Europa League last term and I’m happy to contribute to this team. I’m a natural born winner.
“I can’t stand losing and this is why I will give my best to help this club win every time,” he told the club’s website.
The Ghana international moves to Europe after stints in Africa and Asia.
