Rayo Vallecano came from behind to beat Osasuna 3-1

Monday saw Rayo Vallecano come back from behind to defeat Osasuna 3-1 and earn their first victory in the Spanish league. Abdul Mumin struck an early contender for goal of the season. After 26 minutes, Raúl García de Haro gave the visitors the lead with a long-range volley in a goal-filled match. But Rayo dominated the second half. Mumin first equalized in the 49th as his drive struck the underside of the bar at an inclined angle.

Andrei Ratiu then made it 2-1 with a powerful shot just beyond the box after getting on the end of Pep Chavarría's cutback. Three minutes from time, Colombian sensation James Rodríguez made his Rayo debut by replacing Álvaro Garcia; nevertheless, it was Unai López who claimed the late glory with a stunning 25-yard strike in injury time.
