Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund 2 to 0 in the championship match to win the 2024 UEFA Champions League trophy on Saturday. At Wembley Stadium, goals for Los Merengues came from Brazilian striker Vinicius Jr. and Spanish defender Dani Carvajal in the 74th and 83rd minutes, respectively. Niclas Fullkrug, a German striker for Dortmund, missed an opportunity to take the lead in the 23rd minute when he sent his effort at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Fullkrug was denied a second opportunity to score when the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) rejected his goal for offside.

Gregor Kobel, the Swiss goalie for Dortmund, made crucial save throughout the game to keep his team in the game, but he was unable to stop Real Madrid from winning the Champions League for the 15th time.
