Real Madrid overcame Las Palmas 2-1

Six minutes from time, Real Madrid overcame Las Palmas 2-1 thanks to a goal from Aurelien Tchouameni, catapulting them to the top of the Liga standings. Rodrygo's early caution for a collision with custodian Alvaro Velles set the tone for a rough and tumble first half that saw more fouls than opportunities. Los Blancos' greatest opportunities came from Vinicius Jr., who forced Velles into a nice stop on a lob attempt and also almost scored with a low drive from a distance.

Sergi Cardona's first-time effort in the box went wide, while Las Palmas also had several good chances of their own. In the second half, the Yellows fired first and gained momentum. Alberto Moleiro's attempt was just saved by Andriy Lunin at his near post. However, a few minutes later, Sandro Ramirez led another counterattack in which Javier Munoz scored a close-range goal.
