Real Madrid have announced in an official statement that they will hold a ceremony to pay tribute to and say goodbye to Marcelo today.
Madrid explain on their official website that the ceremony will take place at Real Madrid City and that president Florentino Perez will be present.
The club also report in that statement that Marceo will offer a press conference to the media. That is when he will be able to say goodbye to Madrid fans after 16 long seasons at Madrid.
Therefore, the Brazilian captain, a key figure for Real Madrid fans, puts an end to his time as a Real Madrid player. He says goodbye after a whopping 546 appearances, 38 goals and 93 assists.
