With long-awaited improvements starting to materialise at Anfield, Liverpool's summer makeover is gaining steam. According to Calcio Blog, the Reds are now prepared to let go of Federico Chiesa, and the Italian winger's most probable destination is Serie A powerhouse Inter Milan. Chiesa's brief and mostly fruitless Premier League tenure would come to an abrupt end with the transfer. Chiesa, who cost £12.5 million to acquire from Juventus in September, did not perform well under new manager Arne Slot. The winger played a pitiful 104 minutes in just six Premier League games. Chiesa was marginalised by Slot's tactical scheme and the intense rivalry for offensive positions, despite occasional displays of brilliance.
According to Calcio Blog, “The English experience has not borne the hoped-for results and now the 1997-born player is reflecting on the future, with an increasingly clear desire: to return to Italy.”
