According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club's leadership has identified a potential swap deal that would see Weston McKennie exchanged for Roma's Bryan Cristante.
McKennie's contract with Juventus runs out in a year, and the team is eager to prevent the 26-year-old from departing as a free agent next summer. Cristante's deal extends to 2027, and at 30 years old, his situation could streamline negotiations.
However, sources indicate that Roma would rather involve Lorenzo Pellegrini in any swap. That option doesn't appeal to Juventus, who are specifically after a player with Cristante's attributes.
Discussions between the clubs are still in progress, but no formal offers have been tabled yet.
For context, McKennie joined Juventus in 2020, with a short loan stint at Leeds in 2023. Cristante has been with Roma since 2018, initially on loan from Atalanta before a permanent move for 30.6 million euros.
