The Inter sporting staff and the Blucerchiati leadership talked about a few alternative players' names. One person that was mentioned without a doubt was Giovanni Leoni, the defender for Sampdoria. The adolescent defender is wanted by Inter. They reportedly want to sign the 17-year-old from Sampdoria this summer and loan him back to the Ligurian team for the duration of the season. Thus, discussing the possibility of a deal for Leoni was one of the goals of the meeting with Accardi. However, Sky claims that Sampdoria is also considering a few young Inter players.
