Saudi PIF to add Vasco da Gama to their football team portfolio

Along with Newcastle United, the Saudi PIF is apparently interested in adding Brazilian team Vasco da Gama to their football team portfolio. Vasco da Gama, who play in the top division of Brazil, is currently midtable. The multi-club ownership model appears to be becoming the standard for every team trying to reach the highest levels as time goes on. Given the PIF's longstanding interest in clubs with ties to South America, Newcastle United appears to be the next team on this trajectory.

Reports now state that the PIF is hoping to include Vasco de Gama in their group of clubs, most likely through a connection to Newcastle United. Among the many outstanding players that Vasco de Gama has produced, Premier League supporters will find Phillipe Coutinho to be the most remarkable.
