Shelvey could be a vital part of the team under Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe is getting ready to assume responsibility for his first game as Newcastle chief. While Howe has indicated that he could assemble his group around midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. Newcastle would take on Brentford with Howe's first game in control on Saturday. Howe needs to carry out an assaulting style at St James' Park and accepts he has the players to do as such, making explicit reference to previous England midfielder Shelvey. The 29-year-old had previously expressed that with the Saudi-drove takeover he was battling for his future at the club.

Shelvey has just a year and a half left on his agreement with the club now but would need to worry less after Howe hailed the midfielder as a 'mind-boggling expert' in front of his first game in control. Later on, Howe even considered the player as a very important player as the season develops.
