Strasbourg could soon make a surprise move to sign Davide Calabria

Calabria was not anticipated to be moving this summer, but Milan is prepared for a proposal from Strasbourg, according to Footmercato in France (via Milan News). The Milan captain is still anticipated to start as the team's right-back under Paulo Fonseca for the upcoming campaign, but a new player will probably be vying for his spot—possibly Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur, if Milan can finalize a transfer.

Although there are questions around his contract position, Calabria has already expressed great satisfaction about working under Fonseca. He has also expressed enthusiasm about the arrival of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. It would be surprising if Calabria contemplated the transfer because Strasbourg only finished 13th in Ligue 1 the previous season, meaning they would not be able to give him any European football and would probably struggle to pay him the same earnings he now gets.
