Summer transfers could give Leicester City a secret weapon over Southampton

Leicester City could have a secret weapon over Southampton ahead of the Premier League clash, with two former Saints players a part of their squad.

City completed the signings of both Ryan Bertrand and Jannik Vestergaard in the summer transfer window, with both players joining from St Mary’s, Bertrand on a free transfer and Vestergaard for a fee of around £15 million.

The duo are not expected to start the game, with Vestergaard falling behind Daniel Amartey in the pecking order, while academy graduate Luke Thomas has impressed in the left-back position in recent games.

However, the two could still have an impact on the game, with Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu admitting that the duo could share some inside information with the City squad and coaching staff.
