Sandro Tonali, a midfielder for Newcastle United, is at the top of Juventus' summer transfer window wishlist as they are ready to return to their "Made in Italy" heritage. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that director Cristiano Giuntoli has already made initial approaches to Tonali's team because he sees him as an important component of a redesigned midfield. In Serie A circles, Tonali is still held in high respect. Juventus, who are keen to regain their supremacy at home, think the 23-year-old can provide Igor Tudor's developing team with both leadership and control. Juventus is interested in Tonali as part of a larger plan to rebuild an Italian core in the team, adding players from the national team to the roster to support players like Manuel Locatelli.
While Newcastle are unlikely to part with Tonali easily, a deal could be pursued in the £60–70 million range.
