Tottenham are keen to tie Cristian Romero down to a new contract

In his time in north London, the Argentina international has established himself as one of the Premier League's best defenders, and this is not the first time he has drawn interest from other teams. Even though there haven't been any formal bids or conversations yet, Spurs are aware of interest from rival teams, according to sources with inside knowledge of Romero's circumstances who spoke to CaughtOffside.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, two teams in La Liga, are keeping a careful eye on Romero's position, although Tottenham hopes to start negotiations for a new contract. Furthermore, three unidentified Premier League teams are reportedly interested in the 26-year-old, according to CaughtOffside. Romero is surely someone who’ll be considering his future, as he’s far too good to be playing for a club in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
