As negotiations with Genoa collapsed over a cost, Tottenham Hotspur is now set to make an offer to other clubs for out-of-favour Djed Spence, according to BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella on X. Spence joined Spurs under Antonio Conte's tutelage as a highly regarded prospect, but it was immediately apparent that the Italian manager did not think highly of the young player. Eventually, Postecoglou stopped believing in him and sent him out on loan after loan.
It seems sense that Conte doesn't think highly of Spence given that the Italian coach has never relied on youth in any of his squads. Postecoglou, on the other hand, is unique in that he has shown immense trust in several young people during his career. During the first half of the previous season, Spence was on loan at Leeds United. Descriptive words would be an understatement on this tenure.
