Tottenham Hotspur rallied for a 3-2 victory against Brentford

When Tottenham Hotspur rallied for a 3-2 victory against Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday by scoring three goals in a furious eight-minute period early in the second half, darts were the main attraction almost as much as the football. Brentford took the lead with a goal from French striker Neal Maupay in the 15th minute, which he celebrated by tossing a dart. It seemed to poke fun at Tottenham midfielder James Maddison's customary goal celebration. Maddison questioned Maupay about it close to the centre circle and didn't appear too thrilled about it.

Spurs players were obviously energized by it, as they celebrated similarly following goals from Richarlison in the 56th, Brennan Johnson in the 49th, and Destiny Udogie in the 48th. Udogie's erroneous back pass allowed Ivan Toney to equalize in the 67th minute, but Tottenham held on despite late pressure from Brentford.
