Villarreal holds back Juventus with 1-1 draw in Champions League
23.02.22 / 12:00
Dusan Vlahovic proved his worth to Juventus by scoring within 32 seconds against Villarreal and giving the team an early lead to defend in his Champions League debut. But Juventus slipped and conceded a goal to Dani Parejo later in the last 16 matche to end the match with a 1-1 draw.
It was an ideal start for Juventus when Vlahovic found the corner with just his second touch of the game at La Ceramica, but the second-half equalizer hurt Juventus's chances of making it to the quarter-finals ahead of the second leg in Turin. Vlahovic also became the youngest player to score for Juventus in his Champions League debut at 22 years and 25 days of age, the record for the youngest player is held by Alessandro Del Piero who made his mark aged 20.
