Sport Witness has reported that Vitao is the target of attention for Aston Villa, citing a report from Diario de Sevilla. In preparation for the summer transfer window, the Villans are searching the market for a center defender. In the meanwhile, the Hammers have made the 24-year-old International defender their first-round signing. In April 2022, the 24-year-old joined Internacional on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk, making his way back to his native country. The 24-year-old has since developed into a vital member of the team, going from strength to strength. This season, the player has been a consistent for Internacional, logging almost to 2,000 minutes of playing time in 22 appearances across all competitions.
