West Ham eye future free transfers after Wilson and Walker-Peters signings
06.09.25 / 08:00
After leaving Newcastle in the summer, Callum Wilson joined West Ham, and if he can avoid his past injury problems, he seems like a wise addition. West Ham also took advantage of Besiktas' move for the former Southampton defender to recruit Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer. West Ham Zone considers who might sign for nothing in 2026, as the Hammers' board will once more look to the future. They lost out on several targets when Edson Alvarez left West Ham on loan to Fenerbahce.
There is still a common perception that more improvements will be required, despite the signing of Mateus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa to provide depth in the centre of the park. Yves Bissouma was linked to West Ham in 2022, but a move didn’t materialise, and he ended up joining Tottenham.
