With cases rising in Spain, Barcelona’s Tobido also tests corona positive

It has been confirmed by Barcelona that Todibo did not come in contact with any of the players or staff due to travel to Lisbon for the Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich. The player had announced on Twitter that he had been tested COVID-19 positive and had been following adequate health protocol at home. He also expressed his desire of resuming back training but says that now is the time to stay home until the virus is over.  Although La Liga got over on July 19, clubs have begun returning to training with Sept 12 as the provisional commencing date for the 2020-21 seasons.  With clubs returning to work, many including ten other clubs across Spain’s top two divisions have been affected and have corona positive cases.
