Wolves are on the verge of sealing a £15 million deal for Fluminense winger Jhon Arias, marking their second summer signing after Fer Lopez’s arrival from Celta Vigo. The 27-year-old Colombian, who impressed at the Club World Cup with a goal and an assist, has notched up 13 assists and six goals in all competitions this season. Arias played a crucial role in Fluminense’s journey to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, where they lost to Chelsea.
Since joining the Brazilian side, he has racked up 47 goals in 229 appearances and earned 31 caps for Colombia, scoring three times. Despite the ongoing rebuild without Matheus Cunha, Wolves are standing firm on their stance that 23-year-old midfielder Andre, also formerly of Fluminense and now a target for Juventus, is not for sale.
