World Cup dreams on the line as Nigeria clashes with Gabon

The Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat will be eagerly awaiting the clash of two teams, each having earned their place as outstanding runners-up after a gruelling group stage.

Nigeria secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Benin Republic on home soil, sending a clear message to their opponents. Victor Osimhen was simply unbeatable, scoring a sensational hat-trick, two goals in the first half and another just after the break.

The result moved the Super Eagles into second place in Group C with 17 points, behind only South Africa.

Gabon, on the other hand, secured a place in the knockout stages with a courageous 2-0 home win over Burundi.  And both goals came in the dying minutes. Brian Mayo Ngoua finally broke through in the 86th minute, with Mario Lemina sealing the win in injury time. They sit second in Group F, just one behind Ivory Coast.
