Youssef En-Nesyri netted twice to help Sevilla beat Rennes by 3-1

Sevilla moves ahead of the Champions’ League group stage campaign after a powerful performance against Rennes in the elimination round winning by 3-1 with Youssef En-Nesyri’s double score.

The match was just a formality with both the teams have qualified for the next round with Sevilla in second place close behind Chelsea and Rennes had finished last in Group E. Sevilla went ahead in the 32nd minute when Defender Jules Koundé netted from the penalty area, later in the first-half stoppage time En-Nesyri increased the lead to two, later shot again in the 81st minute to ensure their win. While Rennes tried their best to outmatch the Europa League Champions with 18 shots compared to 8 of Sevilla they found the net just once when debutant Georginio Rutter scored in the 86th minute.
