Zambrotta puts Guardiola's Barcelona above today's

There is very little debate about which version of Barcelona is better between this one and Pep Guardiola's. Granted that today we can enjoy arguably the best attacking trio in history, Pep Guardiola's side was an all around team that had a very well-defined polished style which became world famous as the Tiki-Taka. Xavi and Iniesta were just as important as Messi, they had a more central role in the club's game influence.

Luis Enrique's side has a more direct style and ended with all that transition style that took a little more time to elaborate a whole play. Today, Messi, Neymar and Suarez's fast pace gives Barcelona an element of surprise that has turned them into one of the fiercest counter attacks in Europe. Italian former Barcelona player Gianluca Zambrotta, knows exactly which side he likes better.

Talking to Omnisport, Zambrotta said: "It is hard to say [which side was better], both teams had great quality and great players. Maybe Guardiola's Barcelona had more world-class players. This maybe was a team with more players brought up in La Masia but the philosophy is the same - attacking football, and this hasn't changed from Guardiola's age to Luis Enrique's."
