June POTM shortlist features World Cup standouts

The ICC has unveiled the June 2026 nominees for the Women’s Player of the Month award, with three standout performers from the recent T20 World Cup making the final shortlist. Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce earns recognition after a superb all‑round month, scoring 178 runs and taking 11 wickets across seven T20Is, form that powered Scotland’s tri‑series win and continued into the global event.

India spinner Shree Charani joins the list after finishing the World Cup as its leading wicket‑taker. Her 14 wickets in six matches, highlighted by decisive spells against Pakistan, the Netherlands and South Africa, underlined her consistency as India exited in the group stage.

England opener Danni Wyatt‑Hodge completes the trio following a prolific tournament in which she amassed 287 runs, including an unbeaten 105 against Sri Lanka. She ended as the competition’s top scorer and became the first woman to surpass 300 runs in a single ICC Women’s event.
