Al Ahly coach Martin Lasarte ashamed about 5-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns

South African' Sundowns handed the Egyptian giants one of their heaviest defeats in history at Lucas Moripe Stadium, leaving many soccer fans wondering if the African heavyweights will keep him on.

However, despite the humiliation, Lasarte put on a brave face in front of journalists during his post-match interview and shifted the focus to their return match in Cairo this weekend.

"There is not much to say about the match or result. I would like to say congratulations to coach Pitso Mosimane and the team for winning the match," said Lasarte.

"I won't talk much about the game, we will concentrate on the return match. I want to thank our supporters that flew with us from Egypt to South Africa to watch the match as well as the Al Ahly fans based in South Africa. We feel ashamed from the results we have from this match. We won't talk much now but focus on the return match."
