AS Monaco 2-2 Lens ended up in a cruel draw

Even though Lens looked all ready to gobble up their rivals and looked dangerous in the match, AS Monaco was still leading in the last 30 minutes of the game yet they couldn’t secure a win against the Lens. They will have to go through the playoffs once again in the hopes of playing in the Champions League next season. Trying to register their tenth win in a row in the league, Philippe Clement decided to start the same eleven as Rennes, Nice, and Brest like in last weekend’s 4-2 victory.

Vanderson commenced on the right-wing, ahead of Ruben Aguilar, who was celebrating his 100th match with the Rouge et Blanc. Two defenses stopped turn Wissam Ben Yedder (3′) and Seko Fofana (5′) from finding an opening goal. The German goalkeeper, already decisive against Brest, immediately made a magnificent diving save to deny a curling shot from Cheick Doucouré.
