Aston Villa set to secure Donyell Malen in €23m deal from Dortmund

Aston Villa have agreed to sign Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €23 million plus €3 million in add-ons. The 25-year-old Dutch international is set to undergo a medical and complete the formal steps to seal the deal in the coming days.
Borussia Dortmund confirmed Malen's imminent departure, stating, "Donyell Malen will not be part of the traveling squad for the Bundesliga away game in Kiel. Borussia Dortmund have allowed the offensive player to leave for talks with another club".
The forward, who has scored five goals in 21 appearances for Dortmund this season, is expected to bolster Aston Villa's attacking options. Aston Villa manager Unai Emery had identified Malen as a priority target for the January transfer window.
