Atletico Madrid held the La Liga’s title run by defeating Huesca by 2-0 on Thursday. The net was scored in both the half by Angel Correa and Yannick Carrasco. It was the third time in the 2 matches that Correa managed to give the team lead before halftime. But, to prevent Sandro Ramirez leveling, it took a late tackle from Renan Lodi. Of the last three matches, Huesca had won two of them.
After the match, Atletico stands on top with 73 points post 32 matches, moved clear of Real Madrid, while Huesca stands on 18th position in the La Liga title race. Carrasco said that there are some moments when you have to attack and then there are other sudden moments when you have to defend, and so it was important to have a clean sheet that is, working well defensively.
