Atsu teammates mourn death of Ghanaian player

"Rest in peace brother", wrote in the official account on Instagram, in English, the midfielder Rúben Ribeiro, current player of Hatayspor, Turkish League team where the Ghanaian striker played.

Atsu, 31, was found dead under the rubble of the building where he lived, in Hatay, southern Turkey, following the earthquake on February 6.

"Between us, in the FC Porto days, when you asked me for a souvenir shirt saying: 'When I'm a father, I'll tell my children that one day I played with Danilo'. I will tell my children that I played and met such a human being like you. Have a good rest brother ", wrote defender Danilo.

In addition to Danilo, Kelvin, another of Atsu's former colleagues at FC Porto - in which the Ghanaian became national champion and won a Portuguese Super Cup - paid tribute to the player.
