The struggling side of Augsburg finished off Cologne with 2-0 in the latest Bundesliga fixture to register their first home win of the season. Niklas Dorsch scored a late goal for the team that sealed the win on Friday. André Hahn scored the other score for Augsburg as they denied Cologne a win and also ended the team’s unbeaten run at home in the league.
It was a great performance by Augsburg who was struggling to find a win in the past 13 away matches and Cologne controlled most of the possession in the first half. Visitors fought back to create better chances and Augsburg’s Michael Gregoritsch also saw an early goal being ruled out. In the second half, Anthony Modeste saved a stupendous effort by Rafał Gikiewicz. Hahn then scored at 72nd minute and Dorsch sealed the win in the 88th to lift the team into 14th place.
