Barcelona pick themselves up against Monchengladbach

There is no doubt that Barcelona will really miss Leo Messi during this next month, they have been struggling to get victories without the Argentine and this Wednesday at Monchengladbach against Borussia was no exception. They started the match with an allowed goal that Thorgan Hazard scored in the 34th minute after a lightning counter-attack. The first half actually ended with this momentary upsetting result for the Catalan club.

But the second half started with Barcelona invested in getting that equalizer, twenty minutes into the second half the moment came. Neymar dinked a great ball into the box for Arda who finished from a narrow-angle with a potent strike. But the Catalan club wasn't going to let those three points slip through their toes, they desperately searched for that winner which came from the most unexpected source in the club.

It was Gerard Pique ten minutes after the equalizer, the Catalan centre-back squeezed the ball over the line from close range after goalie Sommer spilled Luis Suarez's effort during a Neymar corner-kick. The Brazilian winger appeared once again twice this time, he was instrumental in Barcelona's new victory and despite not completely filling Messi's void, he is doing a decent job at it so far.
