Bayern hopeful Serge Gnabry will return swiftly from injury

Serge Gnabry had to sit out Bayern Munich’s 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund last Saturday at short notice after picking up a knock in the final training session ahead of the game.

Fortunately for Bayern, it does not appear to be a serious injury. “It’s not too serious with Serge. In the final training session on Friday, he felt a slight twinge in his adductor, a minor pain,” Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl told Bild.

“Nothing is damaged, nothing dramatic. So he should be available again relatively quickly.” Gnabry himself described his condition as “good” when asked after the Dortmund game.

Therefore, there is hope that the 30-year-old will be able to return against Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.
