Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany allayed concerns about Kimmich in his press conference while sounding the all clear on Musiala in his post match interview.
“It’s not bad,” Kompany reassured reporters at the press conference. “We’ll have an estimate on his recovery time. If it’s not long, then ultimately it’s not a problem.
“When I see him smiling after the game, I assume nothing’s wrong,” Kompany told DAZN when asked about Musiala. “I hope that’s the case.”
FCB board-member-for-sport Max Eberl also spoke on both players in his DAZN interview. Eberl remained relaxed about Musiala, but did seem more concerned about Kimmich.
“[Musiala’s substitution] was more of a precautionary measure,” said Eberl.
“Jo [Kimmich] went into the game already carrying an injury,” Eberl noted when speaking on Kimmich. “He’s currently undergoing tests, so I can’t say anything yet. He [Kimmich] isn’t one to leave the pitch voluntarily.“
