Bayern Munich have established contact with Olympique Lyonnais over a potential move for Malick Fofana, according to a report from specialized press. The Belgian international attacker is viewed as an alternative to their priority target.
The priority target of the Bundesliga champions is Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. Bayern are planning to make a second bid for the Colombian international. However, the Premier League champions have been resolute in their stance that the 28-year-old is not for sale this summer. If Liverpool will not sell Diaz, the Bavarian outfit are expected to shift their interest to Fofana.
The Reds are also interested in signing Fofana this summer. Bayern’s expression of interest could force the Merseyside outfit to act upon their interest to ensure one of their targets does not end up elsewhere this summer.
